Family photo shoot giveaway!

[ The winner of this giveaway is Catriona C! If you didn’t win, pop over to Mama Papa Bubba and try your luck again! ]

I am not a photo shoot kind of person. I feel idiotic trying to pretend there isn’t a photographer there, and my ‘smile for the camera’ face makes me look ridiculous. I don’t how to make a good family photo when I’m in it.

Thankfully, Bethany does.

We went to her lovely studio downtown as it’s close to our place, and it meant I didn’t have to clean my apartment. Elliot did loads of superman dives on her floor, and she was right down there with him. She knew just how to talk to him, and he had a great time too. We left feeling happy.

Though as our photo viewing evening approached, I admit I felt nervous. What if I hated them all (because of my hair, because I chose a weird outfit, because, because, because)? Greeted by tea and homemade cookies, Bethany turned on a slideshow on her beautifully giant monitor in the middle of her peaceful studio, and I admit, I nearly cried. They were all pretty much amazing. The question was not are they good, but how would we ever choose which ones to pick?

Now is your chance to win a photo shoot with Bethany too. Here are the details:

– A complimentary one to two hour portrait session on location within the Greater Vancouver area, an online viewing gallery, an in-studio ordering session, and an 8×10 print of your choice.
You can redeem the portrait session between January 8th, 2013 and April 30th 2013. You MUST get in touch with Bethany within 48 hours of winning the contest to confirm winnings and schedule their session (or at least start the process of scheduling!)
Not redeemable for cash, but you may give away as gift to a friend or family member.

  2. I’d love to have a session done either with my family in Deep Cove or with my fiancé in Gastown or Yaletown!

  3. So many beautiful places to choose from. I think the pier at Rocky Point Park in Port Moody would be lovely. I can’t get enough of the mountain view.
