Ah, autumn. In Vancouver, that means days and days (and days) of drizzle. While big Hunter boots are everywhere, and I do love my Ilse Jacobsen wellies for epic downpour days, they feel like overkill when it’s just a regular rainy day.

Ankle-height wellies that look more like regular boots are what I’m looking for this autumn, and I found some interesting ones. Clockwise from top…

I actually just bought those tonight! They have a lovely faux shearling sole inside. Good timing as there’s a rainfall warning for the next four days…

Love shorter boots. Looking for some comfortable wellies (as opposed to the clodhopper Winter boots I am now sporting). These do not look like your regular wellies though 🙂 Any recommendations for those with a wider calf and higher arch? I like the khaki green ones. 🙂

I bought the Joe Fresh ones, and they’re quite good, and only $29. I like these shorter ones because they end before the calf, you avoid the whole problem, which I have too! For arches I have no idea, mine are pretty bog standard. 😉

Joe Fresh also has a similar pair to #1 that I recently got. Love them! It’s been non stop rain here in the Fraser Valley today and they were perfect.
